AI/ML and Chores

First Chores!

They are in our professional space, personal space, civic space.

Called differently.

SOP or the repeatable/reproducible tasks in professional space. Mundane rote tasks or talks in personal interpersonal spaces. Duty, rules, norms in the civic spaces.

Broadly so.

At one level, chores become problematic for people.

But chores aren’t chores. Only if we go beyond the transactional, and see their web of connections internally and externally.

Like they can be seen as essential grounding or earthing in the otherwise charged (+/-) pursuits or experiences.

Or chores are to be seen as essential pitstops amidst the racetracks of FOMO and viral and the click baits.

In the wake of AI/ML, basically the tech disruptions, they are taking away chores. For various reasons…human error mitigation, speed, scale, etc.

However, in taking them away, it is also making it difficult to establish an aware-relationship with chores (taken away) or the remaining chores or the new chores getting created.

A world busy and obsessed with solving #ChorePoints or #PainPoints of individuals and organizations and nations, forgets to imbibe the relationship with core and chore, pleasure and pain, convenience and inconvenience, and cultivate the *rising above it* or *vivek*.

It is not to say that we don't need to solve pain points, but to be watchful about the possibility of creeping increasing intolerance to now an even lesser degree of pain because the earlier or others are being solved. Or even our misplaced expectations of solving others or the pace of them or as to who needs to solve them. Or our misperception of the complexity of the pending chore points or pain points and their solvability or dissolvability.

Chores will always exist in some form and another. The key is if we revise our relationship with them and hence our own self.

Possible!!!
